The unfiltered version — quitting a corporate job, chasing $5 gigs, building an agency, and finally starting the thing I always wanted to build.

I left my job as Corporate Sales Manager at a large international company. Fingers crossed.
I got ICF-accredited as a coach — then spent my early months focusing on the wrong things, starting with my own website. It brought zero clients.
I looked for any way to make money: writing captchas for $5 per 100 (the client never paid), recording videos for coaching platforms like PsychAsk, and making video courses.
I started writing as a copywriter on Fiverr. Things exploded fast — no big surprise, since I was charging cents for work other copywriters charged thousands for.
My most successful gig: writing About pages.
I attended Tony Robbins' Unleash the Power Within in London and decided to 10x my prices. Somehow, the work kept growing.
I ran a successful copywriting agency with my husband and a few fellow writers — through two pregnancies and raising toddlers the whole time.
I started writing on Medium — my first steps as a real content creator, not just someone who writes for clients.
I covered a mix of topics, from relationship advice to business, writing and marketing. By the end of that first year, solopreneurship had become my main topic.
The first real AI writing tools showed up. We started using them, mostly for editing — or for generating things like 2,000 reviews for a client paying $1.50 per review.
The narrative became "we don't need writers anymore" — so we focused on quality instead. Research got easier, and as an agency we started offering more: mockups, wireframes, even full websites. Things got better, not worse.
I launched Smarter Solopreneurs on Substack — the thing I'd always wanted to do. Good real estate investments and support from the agency let me do it almost full-time, while still managing kids and life.
I'm expecting to finish my first book and go 100% into my content creation career — while still investing in real estate.
